Materials

I use the highest quality materials available. I don’t believe in leashes (longboards) and glass in fins are a must.

Foam

We use traditional high density Blair foam, which has qualities similar to the foam, used in the boards my shapes are inspired by.

Glass

My stock models come with double 8oz volan cloth on the deck and single 8oz volan cloth on the bottom. Alternate glassing schedules are available on request for custom orders.

Fins

All stock boards come with glassed in Fibre Glas fin co fins. Each fin used is template relevant.

The idea behind Lemire Surfing Platforms is simply this:

Functional shapes built by hand. As a shaper, I use traditional shaping methods with foam and fiberglass construction. All of my shapes are built in a modern facility by hand the old fashioned way. My inspiration comes from the functional concepts of the craftsmen that existed during 50’s and 60’s. Their motivation for building boards was just as much about quality and production as it was creating surf craft that would help them push the limits of their own surfing.
